Always improving....Teachers will use all professional learning to further their commitments to ensure student academic engagement and success. This site is meant to offer South Forsyth High School the opportunity to gain or acquire new skills and knowledge or build the knowledge and skills already present. We value our time to learn in a collaborative environment with our colleagues to sharpen our skills to best support high levels of learning for all students, but we recognize that working individually sometimes works as well. Keeping the standard (NETS-T) the constant and time (to learn) as the variable, teachers may move forward or perfect skills as they are ready.
Feel free to peruse each tab/section as you'd like. Obviously, as millions of new sources are added to the plethora that exist in the Web 2.0 world, we can't possibly list all that are available, but our goal is to provide resources that will be user friendly and have reviews from educator sites. Additionally, we want to remind you that as you use Web 2.0 sites in your classes with students that you must treat their personal information with caution, privacy and respect. In all of our endeavors with students, safety and security remain of utmost importance. Additionally, as you look through the site, we will try to align each site/tool with ISTE's (International Society Technology in Education) NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) for Teachers. |
